Toward a measured capability index — building the ruler in the open.
Ψ∞ runs as a continuous, governed loop and reports its own grounding honestly, including where it falls short. On top of it we are building a capability index: a single quantity assembled only from verified quantities — task‑classes actually solved and re‑checked, evidenced knowledge, and golden‑path alignment — independent of any model’s size, written to a tamper‑evident hash‑chain, with the raw value recorded every cycle so a genuine regression stays visible. A number that only holds because we keep the highest we ever saw would be a historical maximum, not a capability floor; we will only call it a floor once retained capability is re‑demonstrated, not assumed.
Status: In preparation. We are not publishing a number until it is produced by a reproducible, signed method anyone can re‑derive — the method and its receipts will be released together. A measure that cannot yet stand to independent checking does not get a score on this page.
We froze Ψ∞’s starting state — and committed the rules before the experiment.
Before a single experimental generation, we froze the exact starting state of Ψ∞ — captured while the system was paused, and verified to reproduce — and committed, in advance and cryptographically, to what would count as evidence and what would count as failure. Integrity discontinuities and operational interventions found before the freeze were disclosed and kept, not erased.

How to verify: the digests above are the commitments. The committed protocol’s SHA‑256 carries a Sigstore RFC3161 timestamp (verified) and an OpenTimestamps receipt submitted for Bitcoin anchoring (confirmation pending); the machine‑readable record is at /singularity/log.json, and the full preregistration and proofs are released with the results.
What anyone will be able to check (released with the results): recompute the SHA‑256 of the preregistration and the frozen starting state and match the digests above; confirm the Sigstore RFC3161 timestamp chains to the TSA and covers the protocol hash; confirm the OpenTimestamps Bitcoin attestation once it settles. The digests are public now, so the commitment is fixed in advance; the artifacts and receipts release with the results, so the outcome can be independently re‑derived — the method and internals stay sealed throughout.
